His secret is in spelling the words with his eyes closed. The champion of the “big bees” Anton Markov from Ruse is an avid programmer and participated in the national final of the Spelling Bee for the second time.

His worthy runner-up, Sava Troanski from OU “Prof. Ivan Batakliev” in Pazardzhik is in the 4th grade and in addition to his passion for English, he is also a keen mathematician with more than 100 medals from mathematical competitions.

Also from Ruse is the winner of the “little bees” up to 4th grade, Ekaterina Basheva from “Ivan Vazov” Elementary School, who won the final round competing against Georgi Avramov from “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” Varna. Each year, Spelling Bee participants across the country engage in accompanying campaigns, and this year’s was under the banner BEE Green.
