The concerts of “Kapana Fest”, which will be held from May 9 to 12, will be ticketed, reported Plovdiv24.bg the organizer of the event, Nikola Sivkov.

“Kapana Fest 2024 was left out of the cultural calendar of the Municipality of Plovdiv and did not receive funding, which seriously limited the available financial resources. The lack of support necessitated a change in the concept of the spring-summer festival. Instead of being left without a big stage and music program, we created a mutually beneficial a partnership strategy through which we joined forces with other concert and festival operators. We provide the events technically, and our partners will organize the four festival evenings,” explained Sivkov. He assured that all other activities of the festival remain open and without admission.

In previous years, the music program cost about BGN 70-80-90 thousand. The municipality allocated BGN 40,000 and this money covered the contractors’ fees.

“I have provided my contacts to the co-organizers from Yadroto, who will sell the tickets. People love the festival and I believe it will happen this year as well,” added Sivkov. He has also transferred the music rights to another operator.

It recently became clear that “Kapana Fest” and “Kapana Bazaar” will be held as two separate events. The bazaar will be from May 1 to 6 and the festival from May 9 to 12.
