On the occasion of the International Book and Copyright Day, which is celebrated on April 23, the People’s Community Center “Art 2022” in Lovech organizes the Days of Reading initiative.
The initiative of the newest hunting community is under the title “Today’s reader is tomorrow’s leader”. The secretary of the community center, Nataliya Georgieva, urged young people to immerse themselves in the time when children did not have phones, but had books.
“The idea of the initiative is to make reading valuable. Let’s get kids back to books. We want kids to put down their phones and get back to reading books, because that’s where the real wealth is,” she explained.
The deputy mayor Dr. Aldin Nachkov, the regional governor Viktor Stoichev, the head of the Regional Department of Education Dr. Ivanichka Burovska, the director of the Labor Bureau Irina Miteva and the actors from the Drama Theater Boryana Babanova, Zlatina will read favorite books from their childhood in front of the students. Galabova, Marina Georgieva and Tsvetan Peychev.
The days of reading will continue until April 29.
