120 free walking tours with professional tour guides will be held in Varna in 2024. 98 of them are in English, and the remaining 22 are in Bulgarian. The initiative is being held for the eleventh year in a row, and the organizers are the Tourism Directorate of the Municipality of Varna and the Tourist Information Center, in partnership
with the Union of Tour Guides in Bulgaria.
The purpose of the tours is to present the cultural and historical heritage and sights of the city to Bulgarian and foreign guests. For the Bulgarian audience, most of the walking tours will be thematic, dedicated to various holidays. The first tour will take place on the first of May, Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. with an emphasis on the history and architecture of the city.
Free evening tours are provided for English-speaking groups in the months of July and August. The meeting point for all meetings is in front of the Tourist Information Center (Kozirkata).
