We go to elections as the only time-tested alternative

“We are going to these elections as the only time-proven alternative. Over the years, we have never once entered into an assembly with the parallel state and the backstage – on the contrary, we fought with them. And we are the only party that has never met with GERB and Boyko Borisov’s management model.”

This is what BSP leader Cornelia Ninova said to the media after the “BSP for Bulgaria” coalition submitted 10,000 signatures to the CEC for participation in the upcoming parliamentary and European elections on June 9.

She recalled that on May 1, the socialists are making a big left-wing unification: “We are gathering with people on the left, in the center and in the patriotic spectrum – those who want to finally see the real change in Bulgaria, not the fake one.”

When asked about the European elections, Ninova replied that the BSP is betting on reliable, European-oriented people, professionals and Bulgarians who will protect the national interest of the country.

“Sooner or later, addictions fade. For me, much earlier than yesterday,” said the leader of the BSP on the occasion of the information that Elena Yoncheva was nominated as an MEP by a structure of the DPS. And he pointed out that this provides an explanation for the long-term terminated relations of the socialists with Yoncheva.

Ninova wished success to Vanya Grigorova in the elections, but said that she does not believe in great results of her project.

“Vanya Grigorova lied 4 times in a very short time. He first lied to his voters by colluding with GERB in the Metropolitan Municipal Council. He lied to the workers by raising his own salary first, not theirs. She lied to the “Left” who supported her – she no longer needed them and began to speak against them. He also lied to our city organization and our structures that worked for it – without the BSP, it would not have achieved this result in Sofia. How can a person who, in such a short time, has betrayed both people and ideas so vividly and categorically four times – can count on any success, will lie again”, comments Cornelia Ninova.
