Traditionally, on this holiday, the library honored its most active readers and like-minded people for the previous year.
The awards were presented by the director of the library, Teodora Denkova, and the deputy mayor for “Humanitarian Activities” in the Municipality of Dobrich, Vladimir Trendafilov.
Reader of the year is Diana Toncheva, who reads at least 8 books every month. The book is a very faithful and comfortable friend, she shared at the award ceremony.
Among the readers up to 14 years old, 9-year-old Teodor Kolev was awarded. Last year he read over 120 books from the library. Along with fiction, Theodore shows a very serious interest in specialized in the field of information technology.
The most reading class for the year is 3B in SU “P. R. Slaveykov” with class teacher Yanka Valkova.
The most active partner of the library is “Hristo Botev” Primary School with director Krasimira Georgieva.
The most reading family is the Stanchevi family – Nelly, Radostin, Martin, Vladislav and Yonko.
A special certificate was given to 17-year-old Englishwoman Bobbi Jay Maule, who volunteers at the library in her spare time.
Teodora Denkova and Deputy Regional Governor Zhivko Zhelyazkov awarded certificates and cash prizes to the winners of the second national online competition for children’s paintings “The Creative World of Dora Gabe in Drawings”. 93 children from all over the country took part in it. The 14-year-old Ralitsa Atanasova from the village of Smolnitsa, Dobrichka municipality was ranked first, the 6-year-old Ivayla Hristova from the city of Dobrich second, and the 16-year-old Nergis Mazlam from the city of Dobrich third.
