The regular meeting of the Municipal Council – Montana will be held on April 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Youth Center. His agenda includes 36 points.

Two regulations will be changed. The first of them is the Ordinance on the terms and conditions for granting financial assistance for a newborn child in the Municipality of Montana. The amount of the one-time aid will increase by BGN 100. It becomes BGN 400 for the first birth of a child and BGN 600 for the second. Adopted children are already included in the scope of the regulation. A requirement is specified for parents who have completed higher education that their newborn child has a registered permanent and current address in the territory of the Municipality of Montana and that at the time of submitting the application both parents have a current address in the Municipality of Montana, with at least one of the parents has a registered permanent and current address in the territory of the Municipality of Montana for not less than six months, counted from the date of submission of the application, and for the remaining time up to 3 years to present a certificate that he was a full-time student.

By decision of the Municipal Council, the amount allocated for in vitro procedures is to be increased from BGN 2,000 to BGN 2,500 on the basis of the Regulations for financial support of assisted reproduction procedures and activities for couples with reproductive problems in the territory of Montana Municipality.

Councilors are expected to approve the creation of a new social service – Community Support Centre/Community Center for Children and Families, as a delegated government activity with capacity for 65 users. They will receive different services. The staff that will provide them will number 13 people.

At the session, the Annual Report for Monitoring the Implementation of the Plan for Integrated Development of the Municipality of Montana 2021-2027 for 2023, as well as the Report on the Implementation of Community Center Activities in 2023 of the Community Centers in the Municipality of Montana, will be voted and approved.

The Municipal Council will agree to the Municipality of Montana applying for a grant for the replacement of lighting fixtures for outdoor artificial lighting in the city of Montana under Procedure Investment C4.I3 “Support for energy-efficient street lighting systems” – Call 2, financed under the mechanism for recovery and sustainability to the Ministry of Energy This will reduce consumption, as street lighting is one of the major consumers of energy in municipalities.

The councilors will approve the proposal for a place to place a monument to Archpriest Yordan Popov in the park area around the church “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”. The monument was made on the initiative and with the donation of his grandson Prof. Nikolay Iliev and is the work of the sculptor Alexander Haitov.
