For the eighth year, the doors of the “Hristo Botev” Regional Library – Vratsa will remain open after 6 p.m. This will happen today on the eve of World Book and Copyright Day, when Night in the Library 2024 also kicks off.

The magical night starts at 18:30 and will be opened with a performance by the “Temp” Theater Group.

For the first time, the children of Vratsa will have the opportunity, completely free of charge, to participate in the most creative construction challenge “Stroezhko”, designed for children and adults from 1 to 99 years old. With the help of building blocks and boards, large lego blocks in different colors and colorful maps of the land, constructors will build their tall towers, long runways, create cars, planes and animals. “Stroezhko” will be located in the Children’s Department, with the courtesy of the Public Donor Fund for Vratsa.

You must request participation in the Children’s Department of the library or by calling 0879 548 916.

Immediately after the official opening, teenagers will head to the library’s Teen Hall, where they can test their logical skills in the Young Detective game, inspired by the great Sherlock Holmes. He is one of the most captivating and famous characters in world literature, who has become a byword for insight and a sharp mind, ready to unravel even the most complex criminal cases, before which even the best police officers are powerless. The participants will be divided into teams and will take on the role of Holmes and his faithful assistant Dr. John Watson. There will also be prizes for the fastest minds.

You must request participation in the Teen Hall of the library or by phone 0896 207 977.

Also at 18:30 the meeting with Mira Dobreva starts in the “General Reading Room”. The TV journalist will present her book “Fireflies Behind Bars”, ed. “Bookmania”. The novel examines the destinies of two women marked by mind- and body-consuming alcohol addiction. This is a book about alienation and magnanimity. About illness as a way of spiritual growth. On death and immortality. For enlightenment.

The capacity of the hall is 80 people. Request attendance at the “General Reading Room” department or by calling 0879 548 912.

The evening will end in the movie theater with the film “The Pulse of the Dance” – a film about the price of success. Victor, the dance champion, has decided to retire and go abroad, but his plans change when he realizes that little Martina needs him. He becomes a coach and returns to racing, but this time he realizes that life is more than a loss.

The screening is a gift for all book lovers and starts at 8 p.m. The initiative takes place with the courtesy of Metropol Cinema and after pre-requested seats by phone 092 62 61 70 or at the “Zaemna za doma” location.

“Bring a loved one with you and come let’s get to know each other, share, have fun, learn… Because everything changes when we read! Entry is free!”, add the organizers.
