A meeting of the Regional Epidemiological Commission was held in the Silistra Regional Administration, convened by the Regional Governor Mincho Yordanov in compliance with an order of the BABH and a subsequent letter from the ODBH – Silistra.
Dr. Georgi Stoyanov from the regional directorate reported to the participants in the meeting about the situation in the country regarding the “Bird Flu” disease, as the Silistra region is not among those affected in any of the 13 sites on its territory.
From the beginning of the year until now, the 12 outbreaks registered are in the regions of Plovdiv, Haskovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Pazardzhik, Dobrich and Kardzhali. Two million birds were destroyed.
