The Deputy Mayor for Public Order and Security Iliya Koev participated in the Discussion of the prospects for the development of Varna. The event was organized by the management of the Higher Naval School and was held today in the university building.
Mayor Blagomir Kotsev’s team works tirelessly and new measures are already underway on a number of topics – unfinished repairs, lack of places in daycare centers, stray animals and others, said Koev.
On the topic of infrastructural facilities, he pointed out that the criteria for the implementation of street repairs have been raised the design of road infrastructure and the lack of investment and construction control under the previous government is the reason for the delay in the repair works, the deputy mayor pointed out, adding that to improve the urban environment, to create teams for emergency and urgent repairs in the five districts of Varna.
Koev also pointed out that part of the funds allocated to Varna under the investment program of the Ministry of Finance are intended for the construction of new kindergartens and nurseries new parks.
The budget of Varna also includes funds for the construction of video surveillance to prevent vandalism.It is also planned to place cameras around waste containers, which will improve the control of garbage collection will lead to the sanctioning of unscrupulous citizens.
Measures are also being taken for the Stray Animal Shelter which was in a deplorable condition at the beginning of the term.With the new pace of work, timely castration and care of stray dogs, within 3 years we will solve the problem of stray dogs in the city, Koev also said.
At the end of the talk, Deputy Mayor Iliya Koev called on all participants to join the large-scale campaign of the Municipality of Varna for the cleaning of the city, which will be held on April 27, Saturday.
