One hundred and eleven certificates of excellent performance were awarded to Paisians at the international English language competition “KANGAROO GLOBAL LINGUISTICS”. The graduates of Yulia Stankova, Stella Dimitrova, Gergana Nikolova, Antonina Baturova, Iveta Ivanova, Margarita Stoeva, Maria Sabruteva, Tsvetelina Valcheva, Nedelcho Stamatov and Sofia Kalinova again showed their in-depth knowledge of the English language and achieved extremely high results: 30 students from 2. up to the 11th grade achieved results above 90 points, 20 students with above 80 points, 20 students with above 70 points.

Ten students represented the school at the national round of the competition – Izabela Petkova with 85 points, Teodora Latunova – 77 points, Daniel Zapryanov – 83 points, Merve Shakir -85 points, Nikola Dimov – 95 points, Nikola Kalchev – 95 points, Eren Osman – 70 points, and Georgi Dimitrov from the 9th grade took 1st place in the country with his 117.5 points!

All 111 students from SU “Father Paisii” received certificates for their excellent achievements, and Georgi will be awarded a gold medal at a spectacular ceremony during Cambridge Day on May 11 in Sofia. SU “Otets Paisiy” has been a member of the Association of Cambridge Schools in Bulgaria for 2 years and for the second time has been a finalist of the competition. In 2023, Elia Nakeva was awarded a silver medal.

The KANGAROO GLOBAL LINGUISTICS competition is the largest school English language competition in the world. 6,550 students tested their knowledge of English in an intra-school round this year. Over 800 of them qualified for the national round of Kangaroo Global Linguistics, which took place on March 16 in Kardzhali.
