The employees in Vratsa and Vidin are silent

Employees of the regional administration – Montana have sent a letter to the Prime Minister, in which they express their dissatisfaction with the latest increase in remuneration. According to them, it is “offensive and inadequate” and does not take into account the activities and the work they do. According to official data of the Council of Ministers for all 28 regional administrations in the country, Montana is in 26th place in terms of the average gross salary. – only the employees in the regional administrations in Sliven and Lovech have low salaries.

It is unacceptable that the difference between the minimum salary threshold of a junior expert /no professional experience is required for the position/, a senior expert /one year of experience is required/ and a chief expert with a minimum of 2 years of experience should be BGN 50″the letter says.

According to the latest update, the salaries of junior experts are BGN 1,500, senior experts – BGN 1,550, and chief experts – BGN 1,600.

With the adoption of the decree in this form, the risk of staff turnover increases, according to those working in the regional administration – Montana. According to them, the probability that experienced people, in whom the administration itself has invested knowledge and skills through training, will leave is high.

There is a risk of creating tension in the administration, given the different degree of responsibility and workload and the almost equal pay”officials say in the letter.

They demand that the decree of April 3 be reviewed and that the responsibilities and work of the experts of the different job levels be taken into account, as well as that funds be provided for the increase of individual salaries according to the annual evaluations. The disgruntled are proposing that their salaries be tied to average public sector wages and updated at least twice a year.

“In the administration, the tendency observed for some time to leave employees due to low pay is increasing. A part of them start work in the private sector, but most prefer other state structures, where the pay is higher,” the letter to the Prime Minister also states.

Regional governor Ivaylo Antonov told “Competitor” that he stands behind the employees.

From the regional administration, Vratsa informed that the colleagues have no objections to the new remunerations. “Competitor” also sought the regional administration in Vidin, from where no official information was received.
