A project breathed new life into two Renaissance houses and an exhibition in the Historical Museum in Haskovo

--

Through a project supported by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area, we breathed new life into two previously inaccessible and closed Renaissance houses in Haskovo, cultural monuments, and the ethnographic collection of the Regional History Museum. This was announced at the final event of the “Revita” project by the chief curator at the museum, Dr. Veselin Uzunova. The museum is a donor on the project.
The “Kirk’s School”, the “Shishman’s House” and the exposition were basically renovated. The real estate became the home of the permanent exhibitions “Haskov Wakers” and “Domestic Activities”. We are turning them into more modern spaces, not only for museum work, but also for art of all kinds of artists, explained Uzunova. Both houses will be open for visits and there will be guided tours. The first events in them will be within the “Southern Spring” Literary Days starting tomorrow in the southern regional center.
A new page is starting for the renovated spaces, Milena Trendafilova from the “Alliance for Regional Cooperation and Development” partner in the project told BTA. It has a value of BGN 779,840 and all planned activities were completed, added Trendafilova.
