Iliya Zyumbilev presented an honorary plaque to the Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Mariana Cholakova

On April 17, 2024, the regional governor of the Plovdiv region, Eng. Iliya Zyumbilev, presented an honorary plaque for contribution to the development of regional cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Federal Republic of Germany to the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Plovdiv, Dr. Mariana Cholakova.
The proposal for this award was made by a group of non-governmental organizations from the city of Plovdiv – Hair Foundation, Inforoma Center, Nadezhda Women’s Society, Shalom Aleichem Community Center and Loznitsa Civic Council.
The regional governor emphasized the excellent dialogue between Bulgaria and Germany and the important role of cooperation at the regional level. He expressed gratitude to Dr. Cholakova for her efforts in strengthening the relationship between the two regions and emphasized the need to continue such initiatives in the future. He expressed his belief that only through joint efforts and open dialogue can we achieve sustainable development and well-being both locally and regionally.
