A business idea for tea from cherry stems won a prize for Paolina from the Commercial High School

The senior’s team placed second in the National Entrepreneurship Competition

Paolina’s team came up with an interesting business idea for a cherry stem tea to be used to treat kidney disease called “Bingoo. Handles for supports”, brought a prize to a senior from the National Commercial High School in Plovdiv. Paolina Koleva took part in the final stage of the National Entrepreneurship Competition, which was held at the Dimitar Hadjivasilev Vocational State High School in Svishtov. Organizers are the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Education and Culture – Veliko Tarnovo, with the assistance of the “Entrepreneurship” department of the UNSS.

24 students from Plovdiv, Kyustendil, Ruse, Petrich, Sandanski, Varna, Silistra, Sofia were admitted to the national round. The participants were randomly divided into teams, and each of them had the task of creating a business idea based on a case study on the topic “Traditional Bulgarian products – heritage and innovations”.

Paolina’s team developed their innovation in just three hours. After the attractive presentation, the jury awarded second place.

The winners of the three prizes received a certificate recognizing the excellent 6.00 grade for the result of a competitive exam at UNSS for the specialty “Entrepreneurship”. They won medals for the individual and cups for the school ranking, subject prizes from the Municipality of Svishtov – a partner of the host school. For their excellent performance, all students and their supervisors received diplomas from the Ministry of Education and Culture.
