One of the largest villages of Vratsa – Zgorigrad, will have a new sewage system and a reconstructed water supply network. Today, the agreement was signed in the regional ministry, providing 22 million BGN for the implementation of the key project.
The mayor of the municipality of Vratsa, Kalin Kamenov, commented that the successful implementation of the construction and repair activities will completely transform the village of Vratsa.
“With my team, we will continue to look for sources of funding that will be prioritized to be invested in the restoration of road infrastructure not only in the city, but also in populated areas,” added Kamenov.
We remind you that less than a month ago, the agreement was signed, providing nearly 10 million BGN for the complete repair of the street network and sidewalks in the “Bistrets” district.
Vratsa is one of the 37 municipalities with which the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Violeta Koritarova, will sign this week more than 80 agreements for projects worth nearly BGN 36 million.
In front of the mayors, Minister Koritarova noted that the objects of the technical infrastructure, the financing of which is provided, are important for the development of the regions and for the improvement of living conditions in the municipalities:
“I hope this will help make them more beautiful, more welcoming and is a step in the direction of keeping the population in the regions. The goal is to accelerate the development of the municipalities – the state relies on the municipalities. You are the engine for increasing the quality of life “.
Engineer Koritarova stressed that the program should not be stopped when documents are prepared. The mayor of Vratsa, Kalin Kamenov, agreed with her and noted that this could be achieved with a change in the Law on Territorial Planning, which would oblige utility companies to fully restore the infrastructure after carrying out emergency repairs. And he added that steps will be taken to bring the necessary changes to the National Assembly through the NSORB.
