The repair of the Danube bridge near Ruse will not begin before the end of summer, so as not to impede traffic during the active tourist season, when traffic is most intense both from transit heavy goods traffic and from Romanian tourists traveling to the Black Sea resorts. The future repair activities of the facility were discussed at a meeting at the Road Infrastructure Agency by the Acting Chairman of the Management Board of API Engineer Yordan Valchev and by Engineer Stoyan Nikolov – a member of the Administrative Board of API, with the mayor of the Municipality of Ruse Pencho Milkovwith the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Dimitar Nedyalkovthe chief of staff of the acting minister of regional development and public works Kiril Gaberov and experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs – “Traffic Police” and the State Agency “Road Traffic Safety”.
The Agency Requirement “Road infrastructure” it is up to the main repair contractor not to stop traffic on the Danube Bridge when the construction and installation activities begin. The work process will be carried out and organized so that traffic flows safely in one lane. During the execution of the site, the temporary signaling will be placed before the section in which the work will be carried out and at a distance that provides sufficient time for the drivers of motor vehicles to comply with the road conditions and to perform the prescribed maneuvers for safe passage.
At the moment, an analysis of the state of the bypass sections is being carried out and measures are being identified to be implemented before the start of the main repair of the bridge over the Danube.
