On the eve of Easter, two remarkable events in Dobrudja united people in the name of a noble cause – “Give life to Ivelina”. On April 19 and 20, 2024, empathy and generosity intertwined in a concert and wedding that raised funds for the treatment of a young woman.
Concert in Sitovo:
On Friday evening, the building of the “Hristo Smirnenski” Primary School in the village of Sitovo was filled with music and generosity. 11 individual and collective performers from Silistra, Dulovo, Sitovo and Nova Popina donated their talent in a charity concert. The sale of tickets and the bazaar, organized with the support of the Municipality of Sitovo, “Vazrazhdane” Municipal Corporation and “Parvi May” JSC, collected BGN 4,810. The entire amount was given to Ivelina’s family.
A wedding with a noble cause:
On Saturday, Galena and Dimitar Morarovi from Silistra chose to celebrate their wedding day in an unusual way. Instead of flowers, they offered their guests to donate funds to “Give Ivelina a Life”. Thanks to their generosity, 500 leva and 200 euros were collected, which will support the treatment of the woman.
