Krumovgrad resident Cengiz Basri Osman twice fell victim to the mistakes of a drug dealer. He was arrested. He lost his job twice. His mother had a heart attack from worry.
Krumovgrad is small. We all know each other. They know I don’t take drugs. But people start looking at you with suspicion. Nobody wants to hire people like me. Without a car, I can’t work in other cities. I don’t intend to judge anyone. I want let my second blood sample come out quickly and be exonerated. This is what Jengiz Osman commented on Kardzhali bg news.
Here is what the 28-year-old from Krumovgrad wrote to us:
“… I was stopped for a routine check by a patrol of the Ministry of the Interior KRUMOVGRAD on 06.01.23. after reviewing my documents, they requested a drug test with a DRUG CHEK 5000 device. The device showed a positive sample for methamphetamine. After that I asked for a blood sample because I know that I have not used any narcotic substances. When the blood sample came out 11 months later, it was negative. My book was taken away until the blood sample came out.”
The young man thinks that he has put an end to the problem. But the case is repeated: “This year the case is repeated again. On April 19, 2024, at the entrance to Krumovgrad, the same authorities stopped me for a routine check and again gave me a drug test with the above-mentioned device and again gave me a reading of amphetamines, whereupon they detained me for a period of 24 hours and stopped the car from moving. Again I give a blood and urine sample because I am sure that I have not used any narcotic substances. This harassment is not fair and is repeated over and over again. I am prevented from working and feeding my family, from taking my mother to hospitals and doctors because the KRUMOVGRAD Ministry of Internal Affairs authorities have decided that I will be a scapegoat for their achievements in their official duties.”
We turned to the Regional Press Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kardzhali for more information. From there, they confirmed the words of Cengiz Osman about the two checks with a dragger for drugs, as well as the findings of the policemen from Krumovgrad. They confirmed that in the first case, the blood sample proved that the Krumovgrad resident was not is drugged. And during the second check-up, he voluntarily gave a blood sample claiming that he had not used drugs.
The Regional Press Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is adamant that the device was installed within the expiration date. According to the current Penal Code, a drug test with a technical device is grounds for sanctions. The problem is that there are few laboratories for blood samples in the country and there is a long wait time. At the moment, a pre-trial proceeding has been initiated against Cengiz Osman. Mistakes by the doctor are not excluded. This can only be determined with the blood sample, the Regional Press Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasizes.
My request is for the blood sample to come out faster, so that I can feed my family. I appeal for this device to be checked for suitability, so that others like me do not suffer, stressed Cengiz Osman, bg news for Kardzhali.
