The regional governor of Lovech, Viktor Stoychev, held a working meeting with representatives of institutions and mayors, and the reason was the damaged roads during the construction of AM Hemus.
The meeting was attended by Petar Marinov, deputy mayor of the Municipality of Lovech, Georgi Grozdanov, director of the Regional Road Administration, representatives of Automagistrali EAD, as well as the mayors of the villages of Lisets, Bahovitsa, Slavyani, Slatina, Radyuvene, Vladinya and Gorno Pavlikene.
The main topic of the conversation was the state of the municipal and republican road network on the territory of the municipality of Lovech, part of which is damaged after the passage of heavy equipment related to the construction of AM Hemus. The problem of the repairability of a bridge located in the center of the village of Slatina was particularly painful, where the situation was considered an emergency and all those present at the meeting decided to repair it immediately. The Municipality of Lovech will be in charge of the renovation. The conversation raised the question of the state of the municipal road network within the settlements and outside them. The solution to the problem is in two aspects. In the short term, the sections with damaged road surface will be repaired to a condition that is suitable for the passage of road vehicles, but the overall solution requires the design of the roads and their major repair. The Municipality of Lovech undertook to apply for funds from the republican budget for the preparation of projects.
