Without a stable Bulgarian government, Bulgaria loses a lot. For this reason, Bulgarians should come out to vote on June 9, the MEP from GERB/SDS Andrey Kovachev told NOVINI.BG.

He again emphatically reiterated that Bulgaria needs a stable government.
Otherwise, Kovachev did not want to give an assessment of his work during this term in the European Parliament (EP), but he admitted that it was difficult because of the health crises, because of the wars, and because of migration. “The EU is a magnet for many people around the world”, he reminded and explained that one of the greatest achievements of this mandate is the new migration package.
About our partial Schengen membership, Kovachev stated that this was a partial success and reminded that in the future everything depends on Austria. The MEP expressed hope that by the end of the year we will be full members of Schengen.
About the Eurozone and our membership in itAndrey Kovachev stated that whether we will enter there depends precisely on June 9 and whether we will have a stable government.
The MEP also commented on the Republic of North Macedonia. According to him, the opinion about Bulgaria, which has been superimposed for years, must be overcome there. “The priority is to protect our citizens there,” he is emphatic.
In connection with the enlargement of the EU with Turkey, Kovachev reminded that the Turkish country will always be Bulgaria’s neighbor and, according to him, it is right to renew the talks with this country, which is a very important strategic partner for us.
