Students from the School of Economics created a unique art installation

--

The students from 11b class at the Professional High School of Economics “Aleko Konstantinov”, under the guidance of Mrs. Plamena Dylgerova, impressed with a non-standard and creative expression of their love for books. To celebrate World Book and Copyright Day, they organized an art workshop “ArtFold‘, in which they created an exciting art installation out of old books and a junk Swedish wall. The students used discarded books (morally and physically obsolete) donated by the Regional Library “N. Y. Vaptsarov”. The technique for transforming the books is known as Orimoto. It represents the art of folding the pages of a book in such a way as to create a new and impressive image. The art installation that the students created shows the power of their imagination and technical prowess. Each book became a work of art, with each folding of a page revealing new shapes and creating astonishing compositions. This initiative gave young people the opportunity to show their creative abilities and highlight the importance of reviving and transforming old objects into something beautiful and inspiring. “ArtFold” – the workshop will certainly remain an event that will remind of the importance of books and their ability to inspire and enrich our world.
