Puppet Theater – Ruse offers family experiences in May

With the arrival of the month of May, Puppet Theater – Ruse opens its doors for exciting journeys in the world of fairy tales. Performances are designed for children of different ages and their families. The varied program for the month is distinguished by performances combining classic plots with modern staging solutions and brilliant acting.

Highlights of the May program include the premiere of Masha and the Bear, designed for the youngest audiences, and the Icarus award-winning family show Yasen and Omaya.

Every Wednesday and Sunday of the month, the little ones will be able to meet their favorite characters from familiar fairy tales:

  • 08.05, Wednesday: “Well done, Franklin!” by Paulette Bourgeois and Brenda Clark;
  • 12.05, Sunday: “A very important tale” road safety educational show;
  • 19.05, Sunday: “Little Red Riding Hood” by Charles Perrault;
  • 22.05, Wednesday: “Who is smarter” based on Bulgarian folk tales;
  • 26.05, Sunday and 27.05, Monday: “Masha and the Bear” – premiere.

For lovers of more complex plots, exciting messages and spectacular vision, there are family productions on Thursday:

  • 9.05: “Yasen and Omaya” by Petya Miladinova, which brought the audience an Icarus Award for the best puppet show and an Achievement in puppetry for Natalia Gocheva’s scenography and puppets;
  • 16.05: “Boy and Wind” based on a Bulgarian folk tale, dramatization by Iliya Devedzhiev;
  • 23.05: “The Misunderstood Civilization” – a comedy by Dobri Voinikov for adults and children over 10 years old.

Visiting the theater is a valuable experience that brings children and their parents closer together. Shared emotions and excitement in the theater salon strengthen the bond between generations, creating lasting and precious memories.
