Association “Parallel Silistra” is hosting a leadership camp for young women in Vilnius

--

The international training camp for young women leaders from Bulgaria, Lithuania, Cyprus and Spain (Canary Islands) has started in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius within the framework of the “Perspectives” project with the leading partner “Parallel Silistra” Association. It involves four girls from the cities of Silistra and Tutrakan and the trainers: Dr. Diana Bebenova-Nikolova and Lidiya Svetoslavova.

In the period April 22-26, 16 selected participants from the four countries, as well as women from Ukraine, will be trained in active citizenship and action on women’s rights, their contribution to social life and building leadership skills. When they return to their countries, the participants will educate their peers in understanding equality, non-discrimination, and nature conservation. In addition, they will have the opportunity to implement their own initiatives within the international “We Can” campaign, and later share their digital stories on the project’s platform.

In their support, the partners of the “Perspectives” project have already created and published a series of methodological documents for civic engagement – a guide for youth initiatives “We can”, training materials for the training “Empowering women for social change”, a guide for shared practices for working with youth of the project partners and many others. They are published in English on the project website https://paralel-silistra.net/view/publications/ and are available completely free of charge to everyone who wants to enrich their practice in working with youth.
The “Perspectives” (VIeW) project, financed by the Erasmus+ program, is implemented by the “Parallel Silistra” Association in partnership with TAVO Europe (Lithuania), the “Amanei” Association (Spain) and the DOREA Educational Institute (Cyprus).
