“Vazrazhdane” seeks support from the BSP and ITN for the resignation of Rosen Zhelyazkov – From the day

The leader of “Vazrazhdane” Kostadin Kostadinov announced that his “Vazrazhdane” parliamentary group will hold talks with the BSP and “Ima Talik Narod” to support the resignation of the Speaker of the Parliament Rosen Zhelyazkov.

The reason for the request is the non-admission of an item on the agenda for a vote of no confidence in the official cabinet.

In Kostadinov’s words, there is also a “downplaying of the commemoration of the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide”.

“Today, the Bulgarian parliament has been branded a disgrace. Shame on GERB, PP-DB and the missing DPS, serving Turkish politics, who behave as a Turkish and not as a national organization, which they claim to be,” commented Kostadinov from the rostrum of NC.

Earlier, with declarations, the parliament marked 109 years since the mass extermination of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the 20th century.

Part of the deputies honored the memory of those killed with a minute’s silence.

The DPS deputies were absent from the meeting, which caused a sharp dispute in the plenary hall.

BSP deputy Atanas Zafirov got into a dispute with the Speaker of the National Assembly Rosen Zhelyazkov.

“This National Assembly has a few days of life left. Let it not end in disgrace. I call for a moment of silence to honor the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian genocide,” he said.

“For clarification, this procedure was not allowed for today’s meeting of the Chairman’s Council, but Mr. Zafirov, like last year, was tempted to break the rules. Obviously, this is a trend that is repeated in the race to be the first. Then, when there is no anniversary, anniversaries are celebrated, not the whims of people’s representatives,” Zhelyazkov defended himself.
