With an exhibition dedicated to 145 years since the birth of Alexander Paskalev, Literary Days “Southern Spring” began in Haskovo. The exhibition is also dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the award of the same name.

Haskovo municipality awards every year the high distinction for contribution to culture, art and literature. The award was presented for the first time in 2004.

Its first bearer posthumously was the poet Ivan Nikolov. Today, the laureates of the “Alexander Paskalev” award and their heirs attended the opening of the exhibition at the “Hristo Smirnenski” RC. They shared their excitement at the moment of being awarded this distinction and told interesting facts about Alexander Paskalev’s family.

Literary Days “South Spring” Haskovo 2024 will be officially opened tonight. At 18:00 in front of the “Ivan Dimov” DCT, the fire of “South Spring” will be lit by Ivan Landzhev, winner of the “Pegas” for 2011. Immediately after the solemn opening of the literary holidays is the laureate evening of Ivan Landzhev and the meeting with Georgi Milkov, who presents his book “Stories from hand luggage”.
