The collection “Ad gloriam: Graduates of VPK (VTU) from the period 1963 – 1973 – professors in the system of Bulgarian science”, work of the University Publishing House “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”.
The guests of the event were most of the authors of the nineteen wonderful texts in the collection – Prof. D.I.N. Kalcho Kalchev (compiler), Prof. D.Sc. Kazimir Popkonstantinov, Prof. Ph.D. Ancho Kaloyanov, Prof. Ph.D. Dimitar Kenanov, Prof. Ph.D. Nevyana Doncheva-Panayotova, Prof. Dr. Penka Radeva, Prof. Ph.D. Penka Kostova, Prof. D.Sc. Radoslav Mishev, Prof. Hristo Tsatsinov, Prof. D.Sc. Lyudmil Spasov, Prof. Ph.D. Donka Alexandrova, Prof. Dr. Zlatozhivka Zdravkova.
All authors graduated from Veliko Tarnovo University during the first ten years of its existence (1963 – 1973), after which they grew up as scientists and teachers. Each one of them described their student memories, thoughts and emotions, and with special trepidation, love and gratitude, the images of their first teachers and founders of Veliko Tarnovo University were described.
The rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov greeted the guests and presented each of the authors with a certificate of appreciation and books on behalf of the academic community of Veliko Tarnovo University, wishing them good health and creative longevity.
The presentation was attended by the vice-rector for research and artistic activity and dean of the Faculty of History Prof. Nikolay Kanev, the director of the Information-Library and Publishing Complex Prof. Ph.D. Krasimira Mutafova, the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Svetoslav Kosev, the deputy deans of the Faculty of Philology Assoc. Dr. Iliyana Dimitrova and Assoc. Dr. Vladimir Donev, the president of the Student Council Vasil Tsonkov, the director of the RNB ” P. R. Slaveikov” Assoc. Ph.D. Kalina Ivanova and the Deputy Director of the RNB “P. R. Slaveikov” Dr. Ivan Alexandrov, many professors, students, employees and guests.
