“We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria” submitted 9,999 signatures for registration at the Central Election Commission for the upcoming “two in one” elections on June 9. Their registration started more than an hour late. In front of the media, Kiril Petkov, co-chairman of the PP-DB, stated that “they will neither give up, nor surrender, nor let the state be governed by Peevski, nor let “clubs” like Sarafov continue to rule behind the scenes, nor they will let the state be run by cops from unreformed services”. We will continue to fight until the dream of a normal European state is achieved, said Petkov.

Regarding yesterday’s meeting of the temporary committee on the case with the “Customs” Agency and the physical altercation between a journalist and an MP from the PP-DB – Boyko Rashkov, Kiril Petkov commented that this entire committee was created to do a PR campaign and to “throw scum”. by their deputies. This is an absolutely staged situation, commented Petkov. We are not corrupt, nor are there any problems with the people who stand side by side with us. No matter how much they try to wage discriminatory wars, people realize that there is a choice between the old system, where Peevski and Borisov are at the top of the state, and some normal people who fight for a normal European state, Petkov added.

I believe that our group will not surrender and will continue to fight until we reach a normal European state, Petkov said.

When asked about the elections and the conversation with their own voters and the previous administration, Hristo Ivanov, chairman of “Yes, Bulgaria” and one of the leaders in the PP-DB formation, said that so far they have worked with GERB-SDS in the name of specific institutional reforms . According to him, it has now come to elections because these institutional reforms have been thwarted.

It is precisely because of these reforms that we are participating in elections now and we will seek a majority to carry them out. This is our main task. The majority will be whatever the voters decide. We don’t know how many formations will enter the next parliament, new configurations are emerging, so let’s see what the picture will be. The majority from our point of view that we are ready to enter, that we are ready to take responsibility for, is only such a majority that is ready to carry out these reforms. This is what we can responsibly tell the voters, added Hristo Ivanov. The red lines will be drawn by those who do not want reforms, we are looking for majorities that can make reforms, he pointed out.

When asked if they will be misled again after the elections that the reforms will be made, Hristo Ivanov said that they are politicians, not participants in reality shows. We clearly set political priorities, the ones who can be misled are the voters, so the question is that every politician has the conversation with his voters, he added.

Asked for a comment on the nomination of Elena Yoncheva as a member of the European Parliament from the DPS civil quota, Hristo Ivanov said that this move by Delyan Peevski should be carefully analyzed and given Mrs. Yoncheva’s background, it should be clear where he stands Peevski on issues related to Ukraine, the mobilization of Europe and the West to stop Russian aggression. Where does she stand on these topics and where, accordingly, does Delyan Peevski stand on these topics, attracting her in this pictorial way, Ivanov added.
