Prize places for the performers of “Yovkov” from the XIII International Folklore Festival

The singers from DFVG at SU “Yordan Yovkov” -Kardzhali, led by Mrs. Ginka Mateva, won a gold and silver medal and a special award from the XIII International Folklore Festival “With the songs of Kichka Savova”, which took place on 21.04.2024. in the village of Sladun, commune. Svilengrad.

The group received a Gold Medal and a cash prize for the performance of the songs “Kiryako, white girl” and “Have you heard, did you understand” from Belomorska Trakia, as well as for the performance of the song “Karshi Todoro” from the repertoire of Kichka Savova.

In the individual performances, Nadezhda Angelova and Yoana Atanasova were awarded the Special Award of the “Kichka Savova” Foundation – Participation in the Master Class of the folk singer Darina Slavova. Nadezhda performed with the Rhodope song “Sonnyo, ti moi sonnyo” and “Maryka for water is going” from the repertoire of Kichka Savova. Ioana performed the Rhodope song “Izvor voda zivirashe” and “Chula som lube, spervala” from the repertoire of Kichka Savova.

Rositsa Dimcheva sang the songs “Dragano”-Thracian and “Rade, Rade” from the repertoire of Kichka Savova and was awarded with a silver medal, and Anna Dobrikova – the songs “Ranila e hubava Grozdana” from Thrace and “Sun is shining” from the repertoire of Kichka Savova.
