The event was organized by the Municipality of Kyustendil, together with the National Sports Academy “Vasil Levski” and the National Olympic Academy of the BOK. It was attended by physical education and sports teachers, coaches, the mayor of the Municipality of Kyustendil Eng. Ognyan Atanasov, the chairman of the ObS – Kyustendil Dimitar Velinov, the responsible deputy mayor Kristiyan Ivanchov and the experts from the “Tourism, Sports and Youth Activities” department.
The beginning of the seminar was set by the mayor of Kyustendil Municipality, Eng. Ognyan Atanasov, who expressed his gratitude to the “Vasil Levski” NSA for the active cooperation between the academy and the municipality. “I believe that together we will achieve very good results for sports. It is a great honor for us to work together, because not every municipality can boast of such active cooperation with the National Sports Academy, which supports the development of sports on the territory of Kyustendil,” said Eng. Atanasov.
For his part, Prof. Lozan Mitev, Ph.D. – teacher and head of the “History of Physical Education and Sports” Department at the Department of “Management and History of Sports” and chairman of the National Olympic Academy of the BOC, also thanked the leadership of the Kyustendil Municipality and personally to Eng. Atanasov for cooperation, enthusiasm and activity in order to achieve the common goal of both parties.
Prof. Mitev greeted those present on behalf of the rector of the National Academy of Sciences – Prof. Krasimir Petkov, DN, and in his capacity as a representative of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee – and on behalf of the Secretary General of the BOC – Belcho Goranov. The teacher presented the book “Bulgaria in the Olympic Movement 1896-2023” to the teacher Ivan Kostov as a sign of appreciation and active cooperation with the National Olympic Academy of the BOC.
Professor Mitev presented to the attendees a lecture on the topic “Aggression in school and counteraction through physical education”. He emphasized the modern role of physical education and sports teachers in the formation of values, qualities and humanity as a basis for the spiritual development of the young generation.
Clubs and sports organizations must orient themselves to the European and global sports management policy. This was stated by Prof. Georgi Draganov, Ph.D. – lecturer in the Department of “Management and History of Sports” at the National Academy of Sciences during the second day of the forum. The subject of his lecture was methods of financing projects in the field of sports at the national and European level , management and management of sports clubs and organizations Assoc. Draganov also focuses on youth activities and organizations.
