The new coach of the Bulgarian men’s volleyball team, Gianlorenzo Blengini, announced the squad for the League of Nations (VNL) tournament.

The Italian specialist will rely on a group of 30 players, but only two of them are typical diagonals – Venislav Antov from Levski and Dimitar Dimitrov from Montpellier. The absence of the long-time holder of the post of distributor, Georgi Seganov, is also impressive. The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation indicated that he himself wished to withdraw from the team.

The first group will start training on May 3 in the “Levski Sofia” sports hall. Controls against Estonia are scheduled for May 14 and 15.

Bulgaria begins its participation in the League of Nations on May 21 against France in Antalya. On Turkish soil, the opponents of the national team will be Canada, the USA and the Netherlands. Departure to Antalya is on May 19.
