Two were detained in Smolyan during a special operation for drug possession and distribution

A specialized police operation to combat crimes related to the use, possession and distribution of narcotic substances was carried out yesterday, 23.04.2024, in Smolyan, the press center of ODMVR – Smolyan. In the course of it, two persons were detained and four fast-track proceedings were instituted:

In RU-Smolyan, two fast-track proceedings were initiated against a 28-year-old man from Smolyan for drug possession. During a police check carried out on 23/04/2024 at around 10:55 a.m. in the town of Smolyan, it was found that the 28-year-old man was in possession of high-risk narcotics, a dry grass mass reacting to marijuana/cannabis, with a gross weight of 0.99 grams . On the same date, 2.25 grams of the same narcotic substance were found and seized in an apartment he lived in, located in the town of Smolyan, on “Mircho Voivoda” street. The scene of the accident was visited by operational groups of the ODMVR and RU – Smolyan. The person was detained for up to 24 hours. Work on the case continues.

In RU-Smolyan, two fast-track proceedings were initiated against a 42-year-old man from Smolyan for possession of drugs. During a police check on 23/04/2024 at around 10:30 p.m. in the town of Smolyan, it was found that the 42-year-old man was in possession of high-risk narcotics, a dry grass mass reacting to marijuana/cannabis, with a gross weight of 3.35 grams . On the same date, 16.54 grams of the same narcotic substance were found and seized in his residence, located in the town of Smolyan, on “Perelik” street. The scene of the accident was visited by an operational team of the ODMVR and RU – Smolyan. The person was detained for a period of up to 24 hours. Work on the case continues.
