The proceedings in the “Danaya” case have not been terminated, the prosecutor’s office said – Around the world and in our country

The Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office has not terminated the pre-trial proceedings in the “Danaya” case. This was stated for BNT by the spokesperson of the prosecutor’s office, Hristo Krastev.

Earlier in “The Day Begins”, the Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Galya Kondeva, stated that the ministry had received information that the proceedings had been terminated.

In a press release from the Ministry of Health, they explain that the discontinued proceedings “regarding the executive director of UMBALSM N.I. Pirogov” are based on a check of the findings contained in a report of the “Internal Audit” Unit at the Ministry of Health health care and an inspection report of the State Financial Inspection Agency. The reason for the refusal is the lack of crime data”.

A few days ago, the Acting Minister of Health, Galya Kondeva, revoked the order for the dismissal of the director of the NI Pirogov UMBALSM, Dr. Valentin Dimitrov. The reason – the inspections of the responsible institutions did not establish abuses and corrupt practices that would require a change of the management of the emergency hospital.

It has only been confirmed that administrative violations were committed in the awarding of public contracts in the medical facility.
