Cars in Varna were covered with yellow sand. According to information from MeteoBalkans, this is sand from the Sahara, and the phenomenon is observed throughout Bulgaria. Photos flooded the network, and there were signals from the Rhodopes, Burgas and a number of points in Eastern Bulgaria. Early this morning there was dense fog in Varna. According to users, even after washing at a car wash, stains appear on the cars.

Yesterday, the whole of Greece was covered with dust from the Sahara. Apocalyptic photos from different points of our southern neighbor startled people. The Greek Pulmonology Society issued a warning that this phenomenon significantly worsens air quality and advised residents to stay at home.

Fine dust particles can penetrate deep into the lungs and even enter the blood. For people with conditions such as asthma, bronchitis or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), exposure to these particles can worsen symptoms, leading to shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing and chest discomfort.

African dust can cause allergic-type reactions in some people – stuffy nose, sneezing and watery eyes.
