Poligraff.NET – Over 200 students are coming to Burgas for the National Information Technology Olympiad

Over 200 students and 100 teachers from 32 cities in the country are arriving in Burgas on April 26 for the final round of the National Information Technology Olympiad – NOIT` 2024. It will be held from April 26 to 28 in the building of the Professional High School for Computer Programming and Innovation .

The official opening will take place on April 26 at 6:00 p.m. in the Black Sea Hall of the International Congress Center. The test and defense of the projects will be on April 27 at the Vocational High School of Computer Programming and Innovation, and the next day, April 28, the results will be announced at 10:00 a.m. at the “Sea Casino” Cultural Center.

A total of 42 students from Burgas reached the final round of the Olympiad. With the most Burgas projects ranked in the final – 11 are the students of PPMG “Acad. Nikola Obreshkov”, followed by OU “Alexander Georgiev – Kodjakafaliyata” with 6, PGKPI – 5 and PGEE “Konstantin Fotinov” – 1.

All ranked participants will compete in 7 disciplines and 3 age groups. The final round includes two stages – test and project defense. The overall rating is obtained after summing up the ratings from the two stages, and the ratings are set by a National Jury, which also prepares the final ranking.

The successes of Burgas’ young specialists in the field of information technologies are the result of the targeted efforts and innovative programs of the municipal administration for the development of digital competences among adolescents, such as “Coding Kids Burgas”, School Telerik Academy, etc.

The National Information Technology Olympiad is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science with the support of the Regional Department of Education-Burgas, Burgas Municipality and the Professional High School of Computer Programming and Innovation.
