Decent performance of students from Elias Canetti PGIU in the National Accounting Competition

PGIU “Elias Caneti” was represented by Desislava Ventsislavova Petrova

From April 10 to 12, 2024, a National was held in the city of Pleven accounting competition. The host of the competition was DFSG “Intellect”. They are participants in the competition students from 11th and 12th grade, studying the subject “Enterprise Accounting”, winners of the Regional Rounds of the competition and ranked for participation by the National Accounting Commission.

Guests of the National Accounting Competition were:

– representatives of the Ministry of Education and Culture – Mr. Alexander Stoyanov Popov – chief expert in the “Professional Education and Training” Directorate,

– representatives of the National Accounting Commission – ch. Assistant Professor Nikolay Dimitrov Katsarski, Faculty of Economics, Sofia University,

– Mr. Dimitar Nachev Nachev from Professional High School of Light Industry and Economics “Atanas Burov” – Gorna Oryahovitsa,

– Mrs. Magda Valcheva Ikemdzhieva – senior teacher of theoretical training in accounting disciplines at the Commercial High School – Burgas,

– Mr. Petar Venkov Veselinov – ZDUPD in Vocational High School of Economics and Tourism “Aleko Konstantinov” – city of Velingrad.

– representatives of the “Atanas Burov” Foundation: Mr. Vladimir Tashkov – executive director of the Foundation and Mrs. Rositsa Koleva,

– Mrs. Albena Toteva – head of the RUO – Pleven,  Mr. Emil Raikov – director of the State Financial and Business High School “Intellect” – Pleven,

– school principals and teachers from the country.

PGIU “Elias Caneti” was represented by Desislava Ventsislavova Petrova, a 12th grade student, major: “Operational Accounting”, with the supervisor Daniela Tsoneva – a senior teacher at the high school. The students had to answer a 40-question test and solve accounting cases in two hours. Desislava Petrova performed excellently and took 10th place in the national ranking. With this result, she proved that the efforts made in the difficult accounting subject are rewarded!

The overall organization of the competition was carried out by the “Professional Education and Training” Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Science and the State Financial and Business High School “Intellect” – Pleven and the National Commission that evaluates the students.
