Yambol Agricultural High School hosts the national competition “Young Farmer”

The “Hristo Botev” Vocational High School of Agriculture in Yambol is hosting the 14th “Young Farmer” national competition. In it, today and tomorrow, 13 teams from agricultural high schools in the country will measure their knowledge and skills – from Chepelare, Knezha, Isperih, the village of Vetrino, the village of Georgi Damyanovo, Dobrich, Svilengrad, Sadovo, Nova Zagora, Shumen, Karnobat, Gotse Delchev and Yambol .
“This competition proved to be a symbol of youth, of drive, of the connection with the land and of the hope that Bulgarian agriculture, in addition to traditions, also has a future,” said the director of the agricultural high school in Yambol, Eng. Todor Todorov.
The competition is held in three modules – plant breeding, animal breeding and mechanization of agriculture. Each of them includes a theoretical and practical part – identifying seeds and fodder, pruning vines, milking and masterly driving a tractor are among the disciplines.
Yambol Agricultural High School is hosting the final stage of “Young Farmer” for the third year. The official opening of the competition was given by the kuker band of the home team and the Lazarus dance of the Rombana formation.
“Young Farmer” is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Regional Department of Education – Yambol.
