The municipal stage of the national student competition “Protection in Disasters, Fires and Emergency Situations”, which has a long-standing tradition and has been established over the years as a good practice for children and students to acquire basic knowledge about ways to behave in emergency situations, has ended.
Graduates of 12 Plovdiv schools contested the championship. They demonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge and skills with which they can respond to emergency situations. The best teams were awarded with cups and certificates by the deputy mayor for public order and security, Angel Slavov.
The winner was the team of “Raina Knyaginya” Elementary School, the second place went to the students of “Simon Bolivar” Elementary School, and the honorable third place was taken by the team of “Peter Beron” Elementary School.
Angel Slavov congratulated the children on their successful performance and wished them success in their participation in the next stages of the competition.
The competition is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Education and the National Children’s Palace.
By tradition, the Municipality of Plovdiv annually supports the municipal stage of the initiative. The next stage of the competition is at the district level and will be held on May 22.
