The Mayor of Razgrad Municipality, Dobrin Dobrev, today signed with the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Eng. Violeta Koritarova, 3 agreements for the financing of objects with funds from the state budget under the Investment Program for Municipal Projects.
They have a total value of BGN 4,352,858.41 excluding VAT – the press service of the local government reports.
The project “Repair/rehabilitation of road RAZ 2110 / RAZ 1113 o.p. Razgrad-Dyankovo/ railway Jasenovets crossing – /III-205/” is worth BGN 2,429,451.67 without VAT. The funds are for: design, author’s supervision, construction supervision and construction and repair works on the three-kilometer section. The purpose of the project is to improve and restore the transport-operational qualities and load-bearing capacity of the pavement, with a view to ensuring conditions for traffic safety and good drainage of the municipal road.
The second project is also connected with the restoration of road infrastructure – “Reconstruction of “Strandja” Street and adjacent intersections in the town of Razgrad – Third section of “Strandja” Street. The value of the project is BGN 1,048,406.74 excluding VAT. This is the last unrepaired section of “Strandja” Street – it starts from the intersection with “April Uprising” Blvd., its length is 647.93 m. In recent years, the remaining two sections of the busy street were completely renovated. The project envisages re-asphalting in accordance with the leveling decision and replacement of the covers of the inspection manholes, replacement of the grates of the rain-receiving manholes, raising of the shut-off valves to a new design level, new sidewalks.
The regional ministry also allocates funds for the implementation of the “Investment project in the working phase for the reconstruction of the existing waste water treatment plant in the city of Razgrad”. The planned funds are BGN 875,000.00 without VAT, they are for design, copyright and construction supervision. Based on the project, a source for financing construction and repair works will be sought. Wastewater treatment plant – city of Razgrad (WWTP-Razgrad) was designed and built according to the classical scheme in the period from 1964 to 1974, it was put into operation in 1974. Left in this condition, the treatment plant does not provide continuous and reliable wastewater treatment in accordance with the requirements of the discharge permit. Significant excesses of the individual emission limits and pollution of the Beli Lom river water intake with untreated waste water, leading to damage to the river’s flora and fauna, have been found many times.
We remind you that a total of 7 projects of Razgrad Municipality are included in Appendix No. 3 to Art. 107, para. 13 to the Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2024, they have a total value of BGN 43,389,600. At the end of March, funding was allocated under the first of them – “Repair of the municipal road RAZ 1111 / III 204 Razgrad-Blagoevo/ border municipality (Razgrad Popovo) Elenovo Drinovo/III 204/” financing is in the amount of BGN 1,012,800.
The remaining 3 are: “Repair and completion of the bed of the Beli Lom river in the regulation of the town of Razgrad”; “Construction of continuation of Dunav St. from St. Kliment St. to the intersection of Bulgaria Blvd. and April Uprising Blvd. in Razgrad” and “Construction of Dunav St. in the section from Parkova St. to St. Kliment St.
