Hristo Hristov won the student power all-around “Strong Man” of the University of Ruse

Hristo is a student in “Agricultural Techniques and Technologies”, 1st year

Today, April 24, 2024, in the exhibition green area behind the Central Building of Ruse University, the 14th edition of the student tournament in power all-around – “Strong me 2024″. The tournament was opened by the chairman of the General Assembly of the University, Academician Hristo Beloev – Honorary Rector of Ruse University. He congratulated the organizers on the successful initiative and wished the participants success, cheerfulness and desire to win. The event, which is the culmination of the Spring Sports Games , is organized by the Student Council, Student Sports Commission, Department of “Physical Education and Sports”, University Sports Center, USC “Academic”.

A total of 10 participants tested their strength in competitionit. The strongest students– athletes traditionally competed in four disciplines: Tire flipping; Throwing a pout; Farm Walk and Car Towing.

After a contested battle, the winner of the competitionit happened Hristo Hristov. He is a student in the specialty “Agricultural Techniques and Technologies”, 1st year. Plamen Nikolaev, 3rd year, specialty “Technology and Transport Management”, placed second. In third place is Bogomil Yordanov, also 3 first year, specialty “Law”.

The cheerleading team of the university led by Janitsa Nikolova took care of the good mood and motivation of the athletes.

In the breaks between the power all-around rounds, the winners of the Spring Student Sports Games, traditional for the University of Ruse, were awarded.

The Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Assoc. Dr. Galina Ivanova officially awarded all the prize-winners from the sports disciplines of the games and the winner of “Strong me“. All participants in the power all-around also received awards from the president of the Student Council, Angel Ivanov, and the regional coordinator at the Ministry of Sports, Eleonora Gurbanova.
