The replacement of old heating devices in the municipality of Vidin continues

The Municipality of Vidin signed an administrative contract for the provision of a grant for the replacement of old heating devices with alternative ones.

The policy for cleaner air of the Municipality of Vidin is long-term and aims to solve the problem of deteriorating atmospheric air quality by reducing the emissions of fine dust particles caused by household heating – one of the main sources of environmental pollution.

The current project is a natural continuation of what was achieved by the implementation of the previous one, which was passed with extremely high interest on the part of the citizensreported by the Municipality.

The submission of applications is expected to begin in June 2024., about which the Municipality of Vidin will further inform the interested parties. According to forecasts 3782 households will benefit from new environmentally friendly alternative devices.

The value of the project “For cleaner air in Vidin Municipality” is BGN 23,452,193.46 (100% of BFP), of which: BGN 19,934,364.45 from the European Regional Development Fund and BGN 3,517,829.01 national co-financing from the state budget of the Republic of Bulgaria.
