“I fully support Mr. Glavchev in his choice for any minister, because the responsibility is his”.
This was stated by President Rumen Radev, who participated in the official celebration of the 40th anniversary of the first Bulgarian expedition to climb Mount Everest in 1984.
He congratulated the people’s representatives for the increase in the salaries of military personnel. According to the head of state, he himself has been calling for the measure for a long time, reports NOVA.

Radev also commented on the natural gas supply contract with Botash:
“I consciously waited for the hysteria about “Botash” to reach its apogee, in order to see the effect of the incompetent and hypocritical attitude towards a complex and important matter for our energy security,” said the head of state.
He called on the deputies to check why the capacity under this contract is not fully used.
“This means that they should carry out a thorough check from where and what kind of gas we import”, added Radev. According to him, the probability that the contract for the transfer of gas from Russia through Ukraine to Europe will not be renewed in 2025 is huge.
“Then many European countries will need gas, and the contract with Botash could be very profitable,” the president stressed.

He also commented on the nomination of Elena Yoncheva as a candidate for MEP from the DPS lists:
“Everyone is free to seek support where they see fit, but also to bear responsibility for their decisions.”
