PAZARDJIK. April 23 – International Book and Copyright Day, marked the beginning of Reading Week at the Sports School. The best scribes from the classes presented a copy of the poem “Haiduti” by Hristo Botev. An exhibition was opened with drawings of a favorite literary character or a scene from a work, in which both the alumni of Denitsa Gateva, art teacher, and the older students participated. The initiatives continued with the presentation of a small sculpture inspired by the ballad “Inseparable” by Pencho Slaveykov and the images of Yavor and Kalina. The figure was re-created in Denitsa Gateva’s art class, inspired by a literature lesson on the same topic held by Krasimira Demerdzhieva.
Special guests of the students were the director of the Sports School Georgi Georgiev, the senior expert in Bulgarian language and literature Mrs. Galina Tsaneva and the deputy mayor Tanya Kolchakova-Yaneva. They read excerpts from their favorite works.
The week of reading continues with more initiatives and interesting guests.
