In Yambol, the participants of the children’s drawing competition “I saw the trouble with my eyes” were awarded

In Yambol, the participants of the children’s drawing competition “I saw the trouble with my eyes”, organized by the Main Directorate “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population” (PBZN), were awarded. Over 200 works by students from 16 schools and two drawing schools participated in the district round of the competition this year.
The award ceremony took place in front of the “Diana” sports hall in the city park, where an exhibition with the awarded works was arranged. The prize winners were determined by a jury of Yambol artists Mariana Kapralova and Kolyo Indjov. The awarded 26 works from the region will participate in the national stage of the competition.
The awards were presented to the children by the regional governor of Yambol, Bilyana Kavaldzhieva, the deputy regional governor, Nikolay Kostadinov, the director of the regional directorate of PBZN, commissioner Kolyo Gyaurov, and chief inspector Ivan Dinev from the fire service.
For another year, the interest in the contest is growing, Commissioner Kolyo Gyaurov pointed out and thanked the children for their active participation. “This is very important for us, because through your drawings, we understand that you are excited about the problems we are struggling with,” he said, adding that Yambol district also has a winner in the national round every year.
“I want to thank you for your sympathy for the important topics of our lives,” regional governor Bilyana Kavaldzhieva addressed the children and wished them success in the national round.
“The purpose of the competition is to create interest in the profession of the firefighter and rescuer, to cultivate empathy and willingness to help and participate in volunteer activities,” recalled senior inspector Viktoria Dimitrova from the fire service.
