CHANCE FOR HEBER! After conceding two goals, Ljubo Penev’s boys recovered and made two dangerous attacks. First, Arkhan Isuf dealt with Anton Nedyalkov at the back, entered the penalty area and shot, but wide of the goal. Shortly after, the “undertaker” created their best position. Johan N’zi and Atanas Kabov combined well on the right flank and the Bulgarian delivered a perfect ball for Sheikh Diamanka, who was lurking around the small penalty area, but his shot went inches wide of the post.

Ludogorets hosts Heber (Pazardzhik) in a semi-final match of the Bulgarian Cup tournament. The match in Razgrad starts at 18:45, and the referee will be Vladimir Valkov.

This is the first match between the two teams in this phase of the tournament. In a week, the teams will meet again in Pazardzhik in a rematch.

The hosts are the current holders of the Cup, having triumphed in the tournament last year. This season they successively eliminated Balkan (Botevgrad), Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) and CSKA 1948. The “Eagles” are in excellent form and are on their way to win their thirteenth consecutive efbet League title. Currently, Ludogorets is on a streak of 13 consecutive victories.

Heber, on the other hand, won the Cup of Bulgaria Sportsist (Svoge), Levski and Pirin. However, Lubo Penev’s boys will have to fight for their survival in the elite, since after the division of the teams, they fell into the third group. They have just one win and as many as four losses in their last five matches.

The two teams faced each other last Saturday. Then the “eagles” did not encounter any difficulties and prevailed in Pazardzhik with 3:0. This time, however, Razgrad will be without one of their main strikers – Bernard Tekpetei, who scored two of the goals last week. The Ghanaian winger suffered a slight injury in the match with the team led by Luboslav Penev.
