Ludogorets filled Heber’s basket and has both feet in the final for the Bulgarian Cup

--

Ludogorets is almost certain to be a finalist in Bulgaria’s Sesame Cup tournament after beating Heber 4-0 at Huevefarma Arena in the first semi-final between the two teams.

The home team took the lead early on after Rick Jonathan scored in the 4th minute. In the middle of the first half, Rick was again accurate for 2:0, and Dinish Almeida and Spas Delev scored in the second half for the final 4:0.

The second leg in Pazardzhik will be played next Thursday (02.05), again at 18:45. In the other semi-final, CSKA and Botev (Plovdiv) argue, with the “canaries” taking the lead after a 1:0 victory in Sofia.

Ludogorets – Heber 4:0 (Development of the meeting by minutes)

Only three days after the championship match in Pazardzhik

The match started in an excellent way for the hosts, who managed to open the scoring in the 4th minute. Anton Nedyalkov picked up a Ludogorets attack and turned the flank with a pass to Tekpetei on the right wing. The Ghanaian passed to Son, who crossed into the box. A Heber defender tried to clear but gifted the ball to Rick Jonathan, who was lurking on the penalty spot and technically sent it into the Heber net for 1-0.

In the middle of the first half, Ludogorets’ lead was doubled. Deremendzhiev’s men made a couple of passes in the penalty area before the ball reached Rick Jonathan, who didn’t hesitate to shoot and technically send the ball past Deborliev for 2-0.

After conceding two goals, Ljubo Penev’s boys recovered and made two dangerous attacks. First, Arkhan Isuf dealt with Anton Nedyalkov at the back, entered the penalty area and shot, but wide of the goal. Shortly after, the “undertaker” created their best position. Johan N’zi and Atanas Kabov combined well on the right flank and the Bulgarian delivered a perfect ball for Sheikh Diamanka, who was lurking around the small penalty area, but his shot went inches wide of the post.

In the 28th minute, Jakub Piotrowski was singled out against the Heber goalkeeper. The Pole got as close as possible to the goalkeeper and shot, but about a meter from the right post.

Five minutes before the break, Rick Jonathan shone with a great break down the left wing and passed to Dua in the box. The Swiss shot powerfully with his left hand, but Deberliev made a good save.

The visitors had a good opportunity to reduce their deficit in the 51st minute when they were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box. Bozhidar Penchev took pride in the performance, but shot very high over the goal.

Ten minutes after the restart, the result became a classic. Todor Nedelev crossed from a corner, Naresi diverted to Dinish Almeida, and the defender from Razgrad poked her head into the net. The goal was checked for an ambush for a long time, but in the end the judges in the VAR room judged that everything was legal.

A quarter of an hour before the end, Georgi Terziev headed dangerously after a corner kick, but Deberliev managed to save his net from the fourth goal with a determined effort.

In the 80th minute, there was no mercy for the Undertaker. Danny Grupper was given space on the left flank and made the most of it. He advanced into the visitors’ field and crossed on the ground to Tissera, who, however, shot at the goalkeeper from point-blank range. However, the ball returned to Spas Delev, who put it into the empty goal.

Pazardzhiklia got rid of a fifth goal a minute before the end, when Terziev jumped over everyone after a corner and hit the crossbar with a powerful header. Shortly after, Tekpetei also had an opportunity to shoot at Heber’s goal, but his shot went wide of the post.
