The Plovdiv District Court released Ivan Raichinov – the man who on Saturday afternoon with more than 3 percent of alcohol in his blood hit a woman in the parking lot of the restaurant “Yuzhen Poleh” next to Polygraphia, reported a reporter of Plovdiv24.bg.
The leader turned out to be a famous rocker Ivan Raichinov nicknamed Ivan Kapitana, head of one of the city’s rock clubs. The injured woman was admitted to the “Neurosurgery” clinic at “St. George” UMBAL in Plovdiv.
“My mother underwent surgery. According to the doctors, the intervention was successful and her condition is currently stable. She has a broken vertebra, injuries to her shoulder girdle, arm, injuries to her abdomen and lower back and pelvis, as well as a chest injury. According to the medics, this is a moderate injury. Today we have a meeting with a forensic doctor who will describe her injuries.” This was stated on NOVA by the son of the injured woman, Gabriel Karashliev, who witnessed what happened.
According to him, his family was celebrating the baptism of his son.
“We were a lot of people. There were also a lot of children at the celebration. After the celebration, my mother was standing at the back door of our car and was changing her shoes. At that moment, the driver backed up with dirty gas and pressed her against the door, from which are also her injuries,” he said.
And he added: “As far as I could see, the driver was taken out of the car. He was visibly intoxicated. He was tested on the spot and the blood alcohol level was 3.31 per million. I never saw the driver.”
“There is no charge for the traffic accident, only for driving under the influence of alcohol. Whether we will be charged with such a charge, I cannot say. The blood alcohol levels are high, I agree. He pleaded guilty to drink driving. There is a reason, but it’s not correct to report it. I don’t even know if a woman was actually hit, there is no evidence of bodily harm, except that a woman complained, she visited a hospital and nothing was established. Everything else is guesswork, and the criminal law is not works with such people. He only said that he urgently had to go to his mother, related to his child,” Orlin Tarnovaliyski, Ivan Raichinov’s lawyer, told Plovdiv24.bg yesterday.
