They want an ecclesiastical court for two priests

Priests from the Sliven Diocese with a letter to the Holy Synod in which they request an ecclesiastical court against two priests, one of whom is also a diocesan elector. The letter describes all the violations that the two have committed, plus their participation in companies and associations in violation of the Statute of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

The letter states that in several media appearances, Art. Yevgeny Yanakiev tried to manipulate the public and made serious slanders against priests from the diocese, and especially those serving in the Burgas spiritual district, calling them schismatics. He selectively disseminated information from documents of the Holy Metropolis that he should not have, suggesting abuses that are unproven. This in turn incriminates him for exporting and possibly stealing inside information.

According to the priests, during a meeting between His Eminence Metropolitan John and priests from the diocese, there was clear evidence of agitation by St. ik. Evgeny Yanakiev before the diocesan election.
