Seven directory artists kick off the first St. George’s Day exhibition in Burgas. The art event is hosted by Atelier R gallery. The exhibition opens on the eve of the series of bright holidays – on April 29 at 6:00 p.m. in the gallery at 25 “Vazrazhdane” street and brings together artists with different nature and artistic pursuits.

The idea has a long history, says one of the participants in the exhibition, Georgi Dinev:

“Several years after the Yordanovs made the exhibition with their works, in a conversation with friends, the idea was born that the artists named Georgi could also make an exhibition as a counterpoint, something curious and interesting. Georgi Baev accepted the initiative with enthusiasm, but soon after he died and that broke my desire for such an organization. Now I hope it will become an interesting exhibition – something new and different in Burgas. We are united by the idea of this spiritual holiday and the fact that we are named after Saint George, and the final result will be a surprise for us as well.”

In addition to Georgi Dinev, the sculptor Georgi Milenov from Troyan and the painter Georgi Zlatev from Stara Zagora, whom we have seen as a participant in the Festival of Sand Sculptures, were invited to the first St. George’s Day exhibition. The school from the sea will be presented by Georgi Panayotov, Georgi Bostandjiev and Georgi Petkov. There is also a lady among the directories. This is the iconographer from Dryanovo, Gergana Simeonova, who has been painting icons and making murals for churches for over 20 years.
