The regional governor of Haskovo opened a meeting of the Employment Commission of the Regional Development Council

Today, the regional governor of Haskovo region, Mrs. Ginka Raycheva, opened a meeting of the Employment Commission of the Haskovo Region Development Council. Principals of high schools with professional classes in the district were also present at the meeting. It took place in the “Maritsa” hall.

The event was organized jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science and concerned the preparation of the “Domino 2” dual training program. It was developed by the Ministry of Education and Culture under the Swiss-Bulgarian cooperation program with a period of implementation of 2024-2028.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Vasil Radoinovski, head of the secretariat of the Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber. He presented the previous program periods and informed the attendees of the adopted normative changes in support of dual vocational education and training. The most recent change to support business, effective from 01/04/2024, is that the state fully takes over the social and health insurance for students in dual education.

Mrs. Raicheva emphasized the importance of dual training and cooperation between business and professional education, which play an important role in preparing young people for successful careers and ensuring a stable and prosperous labor market. Providing practical training and skills not only helps students achieve their personal goals, but also contributes to the economic growth and development of the region.
